Night Falls on Main Street

Walking with the woman you love, as evening gives way to night, your hand in hers, in the bright lights of the city. You grip her hand tightly, loving and admiring her strength, taking comfort in her protective aura. The city at night is a dangerous place for a boy alone. But not when you're with her.

  1. This is such an AWESOME image!

I've been trying for quite a long time to find the elements to create something similar, but I can't seem to spot an image of a man with the right arm position for it, or a woman with her hand curled just right.

I probably will, if I look long enough, but in the meantime I have your collage to look at.

His shadow is just great, and the dynamics between them as asserted by what you wrote, her obvious superior strength and ability to protect him, everything about their interaction makes this a terrific collage. Great job!

  2. Hi Undersquid, thank you!

There's a dirty little secret about this collage. The couple were actually in the original image walking hand-in-hand, which made matching lighting and color a cinch. Since I first posted this on GDC though, I've made her taller, and gave her a new dress, since the gold lamé thing she was wearing was IMHO quite tacky.

  3. Ah, yessss... reveal your secrets!

Well, that's why I get such a kick out of finding images I can alter that have both the man and the woman in it.

You still had to do a lot of cloning and pasting I bet, but yes, darker colors, shadows ans the such make that so much easier.

That's mad skillz on the new dress.
